Chain of transmission
Summary
Yahya transmits from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, from Said ibn al-Musayyab, that the Messenger said to the Jews of Khaybar, on the day Khaybar was conquered: I will leave you as long as God leaves you, on condition that the dates are shared between us and you. The Messenger used to send Abdullah ibn Rawaha to estimate the crop between him and them, then say: if you wish, it is yours, and if you wish, it is mine; and they would take it. The editor notes that some weak narrators transmitted the report as connected, which is not sound, and that the sound version is mursal. 1
