Summary
Malik says it reached him that Abdullah ibn Masud used to narrate that the Messenger said: whenever two sales are concluded, the word is that of the seller, or they both return. The editor notes that Ibn Abd al-Barr said the report is preserved from Ibn Masud, and that it is, among the majority of scholars, a principle they have accepted; al-Tirmidhi called it mursal, and the editor knows of no sound chain for it. 1
