Summary
Yahya transmits from Malik that it reached him that a man came to Abdullah ibn Masud and said: I divorced my wife eight times. Ibn Masud asked what he had been told; he said that she had become separated from him. Ibn Masud said: they are right. Whoever divorces as God commanded, God has made it clear to him. Whoever muddles his own affair, we hold the muddle against him, and do not confuse yourselves; it is as they say. 1
