Summary
Malik says that among these is that a man tells another, who has a garment: I guarantee to you of your garment so-and-so many caps, each cap measured at so-and-so; whatever falls short I bear, and whatever exceeds is mine. Or a man says to another who has garments: I guarantee you so-and-so many shirts, each shirt measuring so-and-so; whatever falls short I bear, and what exceeds is mine. Similar to this is a man who has oil-bearing seed, and says: press your seed; whatever falls short of so-and-so pounds I will give you, and what exceeds is mine. All this, and what resembles it, is muzabana, which is not proper or permitted. What is similar in palm fibre, nuts, cotton, flax, pumpkin and safflower returns to it. 1
