Summary
Malik says: the practice among us is that there is no harm in an eloquent, skilled slave-merchant buying slaves from Abyssinia or other peoples who are not like him in eloquence, trade, forwardness and knowledge, for a known term, if they differ and that difference is clear. If some of them resemble one another so that they come close, then one does not take two for one at a term, even if their kinds differ. 1
