Summary
Malik transmits from Abdallah ibn Dinar that he said a man came to Abdullah ibn Umar, and I was with him, at the house of judgement, asking about the fosterage of an adult. Ibn Umar said: a man came to Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) and said: I had a slave-girl whom I used to have intercourse with; my wife deliberately nursed her, then went in to her and said: take her, for by God I have nursed her. Umar said: punish your wife, and go to your slave-girl, for fosterage is only the fosterage of an infant. 1
