Summary
Yahya transmits from Malik, from Yahya ibn Said, from Amra bint Abd al-Rahman, that she told him about Habiba bint Sahl al-Ansari, who had been married to Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shammas (may God be pleased with him). The Messenger went out for the dawn prayer and found Habiba at his door in the half-light. He asked who she was, and she said she was Habiba bint Sahl. He asked what was wrong; she said she could not stay with her husband Thabit ibn Qays. When Thabit came, the Messenger told him this was Habiba bint Sahl, who had said what God willed her to say. Habiba said: everything he gave me is with me. The Messenger told Thabit to take it from her, and he took it, and she sat with her family. 1
