Summary
Malik transmits from Said ibn Sulayman ibn Zayd ibn Thabit (may God be pleased with him), from Kharija ibn Zayd ibn Thabit, that he was sitting with Zayd ibn Thabit when Muhammad ibn Abi Atiq came with tearful eyes. Zayd asked what was wrong. He said he had given his wife authority over herself and she had left him. Zayd asked what had made him do that, and he said fate. Zayd said: take her back if you wish, for it is only one divorce, and you have the stronger claim to her. 1
