Chain of transmission
Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab from Abu Idris al-Khawlani from Abu Tha'laba al-Khushani, that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: eating any animal with fangs from the beasts of prey is unlawful. The editor notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that Yahya alone transmitted this wording from Malik in this chain, while the other Muwatta transmitters said: he forbade eating any animal with fangs. 1
