Summary
A report that Malik transmits from Nafi' from a man of the Ansar, in the chapter on forbidding facing the qibla while relieving oneself: the man heard the Prophet ﷺ forbid facing the qibla for excrement or urine. The editor notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that Yahya alone transmitted it this way, while all the other Muwatta transmitters say "from Nafi', from a man of the Ansar, from his father", which is correct. Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd, Ibn Wahb and al-Shafi'i transmitted it correctly (al-Tamhid). 1 2
