Summary

The first report in the chapter on eating before going out at the festival. Yahya transmits from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father, that he used to eat on the day of breaking the fast before going out. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab and Suwayd transmitted it, and that the Sahih of al-Bukhari (953) has a report from Anas that the Prophet ﷺ did not go out on the day of breaking the fast until he had eaten a few dates. 1
