Summary
The first report in the chapter on how to wipe over socks. Yahya transmits from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa that he saw his father Urwa wipe over his socks, and he would not go beyond wiping their tops and would not wipe their soles. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd and Muhammad ibn al-Hasan transmitted it from Malik. 1
