Summary

The first report in the chapter on what a person does when he comes while the imam is bowing. Yahya transmits from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Abu Umama ibn Sahl ibn Hunayf (may God be pleased with him): Zayd ibn Thabit (may God be pleased with him) entered the mosque and found people bowing, so he bowed and walked, bowing, until he reached the row. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab and Suwayd transmitted it, that al-Bayhaqi transmitted it by another channel, and that Abd al-Razzaq reported from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim that Zayd used to bow and then walk while bowing. 1
