«من لم يجد ثوبين فليصل في ثوب واحد ملتحفاً به، فإن كان الثوب قصيراً فليتزر به»
A verbatim excerpt of the text, forty words at most; the full text is in the edition cited under sources
Summary
A report from Malik that he was told that Jabir ibn Abdullah (may God be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said whoever does not find two garments should pray in one garment wrapped around him, and if the garment is short, wrap it as a waist-wrap. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab transmitted it from Malik, and that Jabir prayed in a single garment because he saw the Prophet do it, as in his hadith in Muslim, Ahmad and Ibn Khuzayma. 1 2
