Summary

A report that Malik transmits from Abu Bakr ibn Umar from Sa'id ibn Yasar, in the chapter on the command to pray the witr: Sa'id was travelling with Abdullah ibn Umar on the road to Mecca. When he feared dawn he dismounted and prayed the witr, then caught up with him. Ibn Umar asked where he had been, and when he told him, said: "Do you not have in the Messenger of God ﷺ an example? The Messenger of God used to pray the witr on the camel". The editor cites al-Bukhari, Muslim, al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, al-Nasa'i, al-Darimi, Ibn Hibban and Ahmad, and refers to al-Tamhid. 1 2
