Summary

A ruling of Malik transmitted by Yahya in the chapter on the call to prayer: he was asked about a caller who called for a group, then performed a voluntary prayer, and they wanted to pray with another's iqama. He said there is no harm; his iqama and another's are the same. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab transmitted it from Malik, and that al-Shafi'i and al-Bayhaqi cited a mursal report in which the Prophet ﷺ took up another's call. 1
