Summary
A report that Malik says he asked Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri how to wipe over socks. Ibn Shihab put one hand under the sock and the other over it and drew them across. Yahya transmits from Malik that Ibn Shihab's answer was the one he liked best of what he heard on the matter. The editor notes that Ibn Abi Shayba transmitted a similar description from Sa'id ibn Abd al-Aziz, who asked al-Zuhri. 1
