Overview
As the Sayyids' grip on the area weakened, Multan became the centre of the Langah dynasty, which ruled between 1437 and 1526 1.
Against the Lodis
The Langah state successfully defied Lodi attempts to incorporate Multan into their dominion, keeping the region outside Delhi's sway for nearly a century 1.
Its end
The Langahs were defeated in 1526 by the Arghuns, who collaborated with the Mughals; Multan then passed into their dependency and into the Mughal empire's subas 1.
