Overview
Al-Harith ibn Kalada, described as the famous physician of the Arabs. 1
The story of the broth
The report relates that he ate a poisoned broth with Abu Bakr, and he said to him: "Lift your hand, for in it is a poison for a year, and you and I will die on the same day," so they both died together at the end of the year.
Al-Mas'udi says that the Jews poisoned Abu Bakr in a meal, and that al-Harith ibn Kalada ate with him and went blind, and the poison was for a year, and Abu Bakr fell ill fifteen days before his death. 1
The second source (Tarikh al-Khulafa) is listed in the data without a page. The report rests on one source and needs an additional source.
