Foster-brother of the Prophet (The Sealed Nectar, p.55)

The Sealed Nectar notes that Thuwayba, a freedwoman of Abu Lahab, nursed the Prophet after his mother, and that after him she also nursed Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Asad al-Makhzumi, as she had earlier nursed Hamza 1 2 3.

During the secret call (The Sealed Nectar, p.76)

The book counts him among those who followed the first vanguard of the earliest Muslims in the secret call. Ibn Hisham counted more than forty such people from all the clans of Quraysh 4 5. The book mentions him together with Al-Arqam ibn Abi al-Arqam, and calls the two of them "the Makhzumis" 4.
