Overview
Abu Said Uthman ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Yahya ibn Yaghmurasan, of the house of Yaghmurasan, and one of the rulers of the kingdom of Tlemcen. He regained the kingship with his brother Abu Thabit after the death of Sultan Abu Inan. 1
The course of events in Ibn Khaldun
Ibn Khaldun relates that Sultan Abu al-Hasan al-Marini moved the house of Yaghmurasan from Tlemcen to the Maghrib. They asked his leave to garrison the frontiers of al-Andalus, and he settled them on the island. He then called them out with the Zanata to raid Ifriqiya in 748 AH. 1
After the disaster at Kairouan they passed through Tunis and then joined Shalif. Their people gathered to them and gave Uthman the allegiance at the gate of the Eid prayer-ground in Tunis, on the shield. He and his brother made a pact with Ali ibn Rashid, amir of the Maghrawa, and they recovered the kingdom of Tlemcen. 1
