Summary
Yahya said: Malik was asked about what is reported from the Prophet ﷺ: whoever cannot find a waist-wrapper may wear trousers. He said: I have not heard this; I do not think the one in ihram should wear trousers, because the Prophet forbade wearing trousers among the garments he forbade, and did not make an exception for them as he did for socks. The editor notes that Abu Musab (1093) and Suwayd (489) transmitted it from Malik. 1
