Summary
Ziyad reported from Malik that he saw some people of knowledge, when they were in seclusion for the last ten nights of Ramadan, not returning to their families until they witnessed the breaking of the fast with the people; and that this had reached him from the people of virtue who passed; he said: this is the most beloved to me of what I have heard on it. The editor notes that Abu Musab (875) and Suwayd (448) transmitted it from Malik, and that in my copies S and N it reads 'people of knowledge and virtue'. 1
