Summary
A saying of Malik: the one in seclusion is occupied with his seclusion and does not involve himself in other things, such as trade and the like. There is no harm in the one in seclusion instructing someone to take care of some of his needs at his property and his family's affairs, and to sell his property, or something that does not occupy his own mind, if it is light, by appointing someone to handle it for him. The editor notes that Abu Musab (867-869) transmitted it from Malik. 1
