Summary
Malik transmits from Zayd ibn Aslam, from his father, that he said: Abdullah ibn al-Arqam said: show me a mount, one of the riding camels, on which I can carry the Commander of the Faithful. I said: yes, a camel from the charity. Abdullah ibn al-Arqam said: would you like it if a fat man on a hot day had washed under his waist-wrapper and his armpits for you, then gave it to you to drink? I was angry and said: may God forgive you, do you say such a thing to me? He said: charity is the filth of people, which they wash away from themselves. 1
