Summary
Malik transmits from Ishaq ibn Abdallah ibn Abi Talha, that he heard Anas ibn Malik (may God be pleased with him) say: Abu Talha was the Ansar's wealthiest in Medina in palm groves, and his most beloved property was Bayraha, which faced the mosque; the Messenger of God ﷺ would enter it and drink from its pleasant water. When the verse was revealed: you will not attain righteousness until you spend from what you love (Surah Al Imran Al Imran 92), Abu Talha stood and said: my most beloved property is Bayraha, and it is a charity to God, whose goodness and treasure I hope for with God; place it, Messenger of God, wherever you wish. The Prophet said: well done, that is profitable wealth; I have heard what you said about it, and I think you should give it to your closest relatives. Abu Talha did so and distributed it among his relatives and cousins. 1
