Summary
Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab, from Anas ibn Malik (may God be pleased with him), that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: do not hate one another, do not envy one another, do not turn your backs on one another, and be servants of God as brothers; it is not lawful for a Muslim to shun his brother for more than three nights. Malik said: I do not think turning your back means anything except turning away from your Muslim brother, so that you turn your face from him. 1
