Summary
Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab, from Ibn Muhayyisa al-Ansari, of Banu Haritha, that he asked the Prophet ﷺ for permission to hire out cupping. He forbade him; but he kept asking and seeking permission until the Prophet said to him: feed it to your water-camel, meaning your slave. The editor notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that Yahya's report from Ibn Muhayyisa himself is an error, that the one Zuhri narrated from was Haram ibn Sad ibn Muhayyisa, and that the hadith is relayed in any case. 1
