Summary
Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab, from Salim ibn Abdallah, from Abdullah ibn Umar, that the Messenger of God ﷺ passed a man who was admonishing his brother about modesty, and said: leave him, for modesty is part of faith. The editor notes that the transmitters differ from Malik on the chain; Ibn Abd al-Barr reports Waki's transmission from him naming the father, and Ibn Ma'in held the report to be broken (mursal). 1
