Chain of transmission
Summary
Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab, from Said ibn al-Musayyab, from Abu Hurayra (may God be pleased with him), that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: the strong man is not the one who wrestles well; the strong man is the one who controls himself when angry. The editor notes Ibn Abd al-Barr's view that in the Muwatta the hadith is relayed (mursal) according to most of Malik's transmitters, and that the connected version is the sound one, as Ibn Shihab's students transmitted it. 1
