- Abd al-Rahman ibn Abdallah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Sasaa
Summary
Malik transmits from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abdallah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Sasaa, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, that the Prophet ﷺ entered the house of Maymuna bint al-Harith (may God be pleased with her) and found with her a lizard, which her sister Hazila bint al-Harith had sent her as a gift. He said to Ibn Abbas and Khalid ibn al-Walid (may God be pleased with him): no. They said: will you not eat? He said: a matter from God is present to me. Then he drank from milk that Maymuna had brought, and asked her where it came from; she answered that it was from the gift itself. He advised her to give the slave-girl who had asked his permission to free her to her sister, and to keep up her kinship ties. 1
