Summary

Malik transmits from a trustworthy man with him, from Bukayr ibn Abdallah ibn al-Ashajj, from Busr ibn Said, from Abu Said al-Khudri (may God be pleased with him), from Abu Musa al-Ashari (may God be pleased with him), that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: seeking permission is three times; if you are given permission, enter; otherwise return. The editor notes that the trustworthy man in Malik's transmission here is said to be Makhrama ibn Bukayr, and that Ibn Main rated him trustworthy. 1
