Summary
The last text in the Book of Zakat, and the only one in the chapter on who is not obliged to pay fast-breaking zakat. Yahya said: Malik said: a man owes no zakat for the slaves of his slaves, his hired worker, or the slaves of his wife, except those among them whom he needs for service and cannot do without, for which he owes it. And he owes no zakat on any of his non-Muslim slaves until they convert, whether they were held for trade or not. The editor notes that Abu Musab transmitted it from Malik. 1
