Summary
The first report in the chapter on what has no zakat among jewellery, gold ingots and ambergris. Malik transmits from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qasim, from his father, that Aisha, wife of the Prophet ﷺ, took charge of her orphaned nieces in her care, who had jewellery, and she did not pay zakat from their jewellery. The editor notes that Abu Musab, Suwayd, al-Shafii, al-Bayhaqi, al-Shaybani and Yahya ibn Bukayr transmitted it. 1
