Summary
Yahya said: I heard Malik say of a contract of manumission slave whose master contracted him while he had a slave-girl pregnant by him, which neither he nor his master knew on the day of the contract: the child does not follow him because it did not enter into the contract, and it belongs to his master. As for the slave-girl, she belongs to the contract of manumission slave, because she is part of his property. 1
