Summary
Malik said: the agreed practice among us regarding the children of a free woman and a slave father: the free paternal grandfather of the slave father draws the clientage of his free grandchildren as long as their father is a slave. If their father is freed, the clientage returns to his clients; if he dies as a slave, the inheritance and clientage belong to the grandfather. 1
