Summary
Yahya said: I heard Malik say: the best I have heard about the bequest of a pregnant woman, and about her affairs with her property and what is lawful for her: a pregnant woman is like a sick person. If the illness is light and not feared for its sufferer, he may do what he wishes with his property. If it is feared, nothing is lawful for him except in a third. He said: likewise the pregnant woman: the beginning of her pregnancy is joy and happiness, not illness or fear. When she becomes heavy, nothing of her disposition is lawful except in a third. The completion is six months; when six months have passed for a pregnant woman from the day she conceived, no disposition of her property is lawful except in a third. 1
