Summary
Malik says of profit-sharing partners who separate, and a worker is left with some of the goods he was working with: a waterskin's worn part, a garment's worn part, or the like. Malik said: any of that which is trifling and of no consequence belongs to the worker, and I have not heard anyone rule it must be returned. What must be returned of this is what has a price, even if it has a name, such as an animal, a camel, a saddle-cloth, or the like which has a price. I think what remains with him of this should be returned, unless its owner releases him from it. 1
