Summary
Malik says of a man who took money from another for profit-sharing, worked with it, then the owner of the money asked him about his money. He said: it is with me in full. When the owner took it from him, he said: a certain amount of it has perished with me, naming a sum, and I only told you that so that you would leave it with me. Malik said: his denial after his admission that it was with him does not benefit him, and he is held to his admission against himself, unless the loss of that money comes from a matter that establishes his claim. If he brings no known matter, he is held to his admission, and his denial does not help him. 1
