Summary
Malik says: whoever buys goods, yarn, goods or a plot of land, then the buyer does some work on it, builds a house on the plot or weaves the yarn into cloth, and then the buyer becomes insolvent. The owner of the plot says: I take the plot and the building on it. That is not his right; rather, the plot and what on it that the buyer improved are valued, and one looks at the price of the plot and the price of the building from that value. Then they are partners in it, the owner of the plot according to his share, and the creditors according to the share of the building. 1
