Summary
Malik says it is not lawful to sell olives for oil, sesame for sesame oil, or butter for clarified butter, because muzabana enters into it. Also, buying the seed of a plant for a named amount of what comes out of it: one does not know whether less or more will come out of it, and that is uncertainty and risk. Also among this is buying the seed of ban (moringa) for its extract, which is uncertainty, because what comes out of the seed of ban is the extract. There is no harm in buying ban seed for scented ban. 1
