Summary
Malik says: if a man has a heap of food whose measure is known, then sells it by estimate and the buyer does not know its measure, that is not proper. If the buyer wishes to return the food to the seller, he returns it, since the seller concealed its measure and deceived him. Likewise, whatever food or other thing the seller knows the measure or number of, if he sells it by estimate and the buyer does not know that, then if the buyer wishes to return it to the seller, he returns it. The people of knowledge have always forbidden this. 1
