Summary
Malik says: ariya is sold for its estimate in dates. Its estimate is made by inspecting the palm tops, and there is no measure for it. It was allowed as a concession because it is treated like a transfer, a rescission and a partnership. If it were like other sales, no one would share a food with another until he received it, nor rescind it from him, nor transfer it to anyone until the buyer takes delivery. 1
