Summary
Malik says of someone who buys a group of slaves in a single deal, and finds that one of them is stolen, or finds a defect in one of them: he examines what he found stolen or defective. If it is the main part of that group or most of its value, or it was the reason for the purchase, and it is the most valuable part in people's view if it were sound, then the whole sale is returned. If what was found stolen or defective is a small part of the group, not its main part and not the reason for the purchase, and not the most valuable part in people's view, then that one item is returned for the amount of its value out of the price paid for the group. 1
