Summary

Malik says: the agreed practice among us is that whoever returns a slave-girl for a defect he found in her, after he has had intercourse with her: if she was a virgin, he owes the amount by which her price was reduced; if she was previously married, he owes nothing for intercourse with her, because he had been her guarantor. 1
