Summary

Malik transmits from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar was asked about a pregnant woman whose husband died. He said she is free once she has given birth. A man of the Ansar who had been with him told him that Umar ibn al-Khattab (may God be pleased with him) said: if she gave birth while her husband was still on his bier and not yet buried, she would be free. 1
