Malik transmits from Rabia that al-Qasim ibn Muhammad and Urwa ibn al-Zubayr gave this ruling to al-Walid ibn Abd al-Malik in the year he came to Medina, except that al-Qasim said the husband had divorced her in separate sittings. 1
