Summary
A question in the chapter on practice in asking for rain: Malik was asked how many rak'as the rain prayer has. He said two, but the imam should begin with the prayer before the sermon, pray two rak'as, and then preach standing, supplicating, facing the qibla. When he faces the qibla he turns his cloak, and in the two rak'as he recites aloud. When he turns his cloak he puts the right side over the left and the left over the right, and the people turn their garments when the imam turns his, facing the qibla while seated. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab and Suwayd transmitted it. 1
