Summary

A report that Malik transmits from Ibn Shihab from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab, in the chapter on practice in the congregational prayer: Sa'id asked which prayer has a sitting in each of its rak'as, and then answered: it is the sunset prayer when you have missed one rak'a of it, and the same is the practice of all prayer, meaning the late-comer sits with the imam and then sits again in his making up. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab and Suwayd transmitted it. 1
