Summary

The first report in the chapter on placing the hands on what the face is placed on in prostration. Yahya transmits from Malik from Nafi': when Abdullah ibn Umar prostrated, he placed his palms on the place where he put his forehead. Nafi' saw him on a very cold day bring his palms out from under his cloak and place them on the pebbles. The editor notes that Abu Mus'ab, Suwayd and Yahya ibn Bukayr in al-Bayhaqi transmitted it. 1
